May 2012: New additions to our help desk team
As part of our on going commitment to enhancing the service we provide on our Help Desk, we have recently embarked on an Advanced IT Apprenticeship scheme and are pleased to welcome on board James Dakin. James who joined the team in February has been assisting the Help Desk in responding to and resolving fault calls both over the telephone and remotely. This is a fantastic opportunity for James who will gain invaluable experience of our call management system and will gain an insight to our onsite IT installations. Alongside James’ practical experience he will also undertake a number of IT qualifications which will only enhance his technical skills and knowledge. James has already contributed greatly to the department and we are pleased to see that he is thriving in his role.
In addition to James, Mike Founde also joined us in March. Mike has over 10 years experience of working within and managing an IT support department in a local college and is therefore more than familiar of the importance of ensuring calls are responded to efficiently in a School environment. Mike will also be responding to and resolving calls through to 3rd line support working closely with Jan our help desk supervisor.
